Get a Wedding Planner: this is actually a two way street, most couples doing a destination wedding prefer to plan themselves, others like to sort out a wedding planner located in that destination.  I advise you to get a wedding planner located in that location, it makes the wedding planning much more stress free, you can keep in touch with the planner and come down to the destination days before the wedding to see everything prepared.  You can have some time to change or add whatever detail you may want.  It helps you keep calm, stress free, and an opportunity to tour and enjoy the destination before the actual wedding.  It is also important to send your wedding planner a checklist first hand, a check list of the kind of wedding ceremony you want, and things you want available in the wedding, this will help them understand what ever you want and get to work faster, be sure to verify any wedding planner before sending them money, check their websites, social media, make a series of zoom call with them, ensure they know what they are doing before sending them money.

Get a Tourism Agency:  getting a tourism agency is as important as getting a wedding planner.  A tourist makes it a lot easy, from telling you the rules of the land, to touring to getting whatever you may possibly need during your trip, you need the right guys.

Keep a Budget in Mind:  yes it’s a Destination wedding, you can have a budget friendly one.  Be sure to ask your wedding planner and tourist agent for different affordable options that are available to choose from.  A budget will help keep you in check when spending.  You know what they say, the most affordable things packed in a deep bag can be the most expensive.  Of course that’s without a budget.
